Hire a 14 cubic yard skip

Our large commercial skips are equipped to handle the refuse that a large-scale building project produces, and our 14 cubic yard skips are capable of holding up to 200 black bin bags. In most cases, they can be dropped off the very next day, too. 14 cubic yard skips for hire in Bolton

Our 14 cubic yard skips for hire are our entry-level commercial skips and our most popular hire for small construction projects. If you need a skip that is double the capacity of a standard builder’s skip delivered the very next day and collected whenever is convenient for you, then you need to get in touch with us.

We offer the 14 cubic yard skip mainly for commercial use but we’re happy for them to be used for domestic projects, too. Just give us an idea of the amount of room that we have to work with when dropping it off and we’ll do the rest.

If you’re unsure what size skip is best for your project, take a look at our options, or get in touch and we’ll be glad to guide you.

About us

Frequently asked questions

How much can you fit in a 14-yard skip?

A 14-yard skip has internal dimensions of 79 x 67 x 84 (H x W x D). As a rough practical guide as to what that means in terms of capacity, it’s just shy of six feet tall and we estimate you can fit approximately 200 full black bin bags in a 14-yard skip – more than enough for most commercial projects.

How long can I hire a 14-yard skip for?

We typically lease a skip for up to 14 days, but if you need to hire a skip for longer, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we’ll see what we can arrange for you.

Is there a limit to how much I can put in a 14-yard skip?

Yes, there is. There are clear fill lines that indicate how much you can put in your skip. Overloading a skip can be dangerous, particularly for transportation purposes. In severe cases, we can legally refuse to remove the skip due to health and safety concerns, so if you are in doubt about what size of skip you’ll need, please ask us first!

What can I not put in a 14 yard skip?

There are some items that can’t be put in a skip: usually because the materials are hazardous or harmful, so will need to be disposed of in another way. This includes, but not limited to, the following:

  • Electrical equipment
  • Asbestos
  • Gas cylinders
  • Batteries
  • Solvents
  • Fuel
  • Paint
  • Medical waste
  • Plasterboards
  • Mattress
  • Glass

If you have any questions about the type of waste you wish to dispose, you can contact us here.

Do you recycle the waste you take away?

We’re dedicated to helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint and making the environment become a healthier and greener place to live.

When you book a skip with us, we’ll recycle as much of its contents as possible at our 17-acre on-site facility. We pledge to recycle as much as humanly possible and dispose of the materials that cannot be recycled in a responsible manner. You can find out more about our green initiatives and recycling services here.
