Waste Account Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and experienced Customer Account / Sales Manager to join our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, with a passion for driving growth and exceeding our customer expectations.
The role
- Build and maintain sustainable relationships with a portfolio of customers (currently 80% existing and 20% new business)
- identify and secure new service and upselling opportunities with new and existing customers
- ensure sales targets are met according to business requirements and capacity
- gain an excellent knowledge of the full range of products and services we provide, in order to confidently promote the business and advise existing and prospective customers
- visit existing customers and prospecting between 4 and 5 days per week (remaining time will be office-based)
What you need
- proven experience of stakeholder management/networking to achieve results
- experience of working to targets and deadlines
- an understanding of, or experience working within, the waste management industry would be an advantage; however not essential, as full training will be provided
- excellent communication/interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and on own initiative is key
- good negotiation and influencing skills
- ability to work both proactively and reactively in the role, according to fluctuating business requirements is vital

The package
- From £28,730 to £35,360 per annum DOE
- Plus performance-based commission circa £6,000 per annum
- 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
- 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
