Site Banksman/Traffic Marshall
Due to our continued expansion and the need for additional staff to cover our extensive site, we are now looking for confident and proactive Banksmen to join our team.
The role
- directing movement of vehicles and equipment around the site in a safe and professional manner
- recommending and laying out safe on-site traffic systems, ensuring effective segregation of vehicles and pedestrians
- communicating effectively with drivers and plant operators verbally and by radio/hand signal
- communicating effectively with the Weighbridge team to ensure vehicles are directed appropriately to the correct areas and that traffic flows smoothly at all times
What you need
- proven experience working in a similar role within a fast-paced, busy environment
- previous experience working in the waste industry would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided if you do not have this
- ability to quickly assess issues and problem solve
- able to react quickly and positively to instruction from management
- excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively with other areas of the business

The package
- Range £29,640 – £34,580 per annum, depending on experience
- 47.5 hours, Monday to Friday 7.00am – 5.30pm
- Alternate Saturdays, 7am-12pm only, paid as extra
- Weekly pay
