Site Banksman/Traffic Marshall
Due to our continued expansion and the need for additional staff to cover our extensive site, we are now looking for a confident and proactive Banksman to join our team.
The role
- directing movement of vehicles and equipment around the site in a safe and professional manner
- recommending and laying out safe on-site traffic systems, ensuring effective segregation of vehicles and pedestrians
- communicating effectively with drivers and plant operators verbally and by radio/hand signal
- communicating effectively with the Weighbridge team to ensure vehicles are directed appropriately to the correct areas and that traffic flows smoothly at all times
What you need
- proven experience working in a similar role within a fast-paced, busy environment
- previous experience working in the waste industry would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided if you do not have this
- ability to quickly assess issues and problem solve
- able to react quickly and positively to instruction from management
- excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively with other areas of the business

The package
- £12.00 – £14.00 per hour, DOE
- 47.5 hours, Monday to Friday 7am – 5.30pm
- Alternate Saturdays, 7am-12pm
- Overtime paid at increased rate
