Mobile Plant/Loading Shovel/360 Grab Operator
We are growing our team of machine drivers! We need experienced operators with experience operating mobile plant machinery, such as loading shovels and 360° grabs.
The role
- operating a range of mobile plant machinery as instructed and in line with training
- completing daily assigned work schedule
- carrying out daily recorded checks and basic maintenance on the machines to keep in good working order
- loading various waste streams and grades in correct bays and processing areas to maximise recycling and recovery
- checking incoming loads to ensure compliance with site licence and permitted waste types
What you need
- experience and competency operating a loading shovel and/or 360° grab and willingness to train on other machines
- mobile plant operator card or certificate of basic training is desirable
- previous experience working in the waste industry would be advantageous
- basic knowledge of health and safety requirements in an industrial/processing setting
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume operation

The package
- Up to £14.00 per hour, DOE
- 47.5 hours, Monday to Friday 7am-5.30pm
- 1 in 2 Saturdays, 7am-12pm
- Overtime paid at enhanced rate
