HGV Class 1 Driver (Tramper)
We are looking for experienced drivers with Class 1 licence, who are able to tramp out during the week (4 nights out Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu).
The role
- driving our Class 1 vehicles in a safe and professional manner
- collecting and distributing waste and waste products across our areas of operation
- tramping out 4 nights per week and travelling across our territory as required
- liaising and communicating effectively with customers, members of the public and our team at J. Dickinson’s
- completing and recording pre-use and after-use checks on the vehicle
- representing the company in an appropriate and professional manner at all times
What you need
- valid Class 1 category driving licence
- proven working experience as a HGV driver, with a good driving record and no traffic violations
- previous experience working as a HGV driver in the waste industry would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided if you do not have this
- understanding of transport compliance and the Working Time Directive
- good written and verbal communication skills
- able to work proactively, independently and on own initiative

The package
- £147.71 per day, plus meal and nights out allowance
- Monday to Friday, with 4 nights out/tramping required Monday to Thursday
