Health, Safety & Compliance Manager
A fantastic opportunity for a motivated, suitably qualified and experienced Health & Safety professional to join our team and lead the Health, Safety and Compliance functions on our busy site.
The role
- to develop, lead and manage the Compliance, Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental functions of the company
- to ensure our processes, information and procedures consistently comply with legislative requirements and formal management systems, such as ISO
- drive forward and actively promote high standards of compliance and health and safety across the company by imparting specialist knowledge to others, through education, communication and training
- develop, implement and maintain an effective staff training matrix to ensure compliance in all areas of the business at all times
What you need
- significant demonstrable experience in a compliance or health and safety manager/officer role
- recognised safety qualification, such as IOSH, NEBOSH or higher
- experience within recycling, waste or comparable plant industries, would be advantageous but not essential
- strong leadership, good decision-making, negotiation and influencing skills
- extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies
- proven track record of delivering continuous operational improvements
- outstanding planning and organisational skills

The package
- Salary £42k – £51k per annum, depending on experience
- 42.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday
